Former Sky Sports Managing Director joins Psyched4’s Advisory Board

Psyched4 the new go to destination across the UK & Ireland for live sports and sport related content has announced the latest addition to its growing Advisory Board, naming former Managing Director of Sky Sports Rob Webster to the board. Rob will work alongside David McKenzie, Psyched4 CEO and the wider Advisory Board to review company strategy and assist in company growth as Psyched4 moves toward full launch later this year.

Rob Webster was Managing Director of Sky Sports from May 2019 until June 2022. During that time Rob managed Sky Sports through perhaps the most difficult period of its existence the Covid-19 pandemic, during which sports industry and broadcasters faced unprecedented challenges.

A qualified solicitor, Rob joined Sky in 1997 and he worked as a lawyer in Sky’s Legal department for several years, before taking up a variety of commercial roles, including Group Director, Partner Channels, responsible for the negotiation of distribution deals with local terrestrial and global pay tv broadcasters across Sky’s platforms.

As MD of Sky Sports, Rob was responsible for the output on all Sky’s live sports channels, as well as Sky Sports News. He also set the strategic direction for Sky Sports, including leading on rights acquisition strategy and negotiations.
